It started with an email asking for my CV, then a phone chat, and finally an in-person meeting with both an engineer and an HR person. They seemed happy with my technical abilities and were mainly looking to see if I'd be a good fit for the team. It was a bit of a surprise how short the in-person interview was, considering the long trip I made. I honestly expected more, maybe a tour of the area. Flying across the world for just a two-hour chat felt a little wild.
It was a very relaxed one-on-one interview with the principal mechanical engineer. However, the hiring process is taking way too long, and I'm very frustrated because I'm still waiting. The delay is due to a project award delay, but it's really unethical to keep me waiting for 3 months, especially since I've already declined another offer and am stuck here.
It was an interview day with 7 other candidates, and they were hiring 2. It included a 5-minute presentation and a group exercise. It was pretty relaxed, and the hiring people were really nice. The caliber of graduates was quite high. They put up all the graduates in a hotel overnight and paid for expenses.
