Aiven Sales Development Representative interviews, decoded.

First I had a call with a recruiter who emailed me. Then I interviewed with the team lead, which was straightforward. The third interview was with the supposed hiring manager, but she was late and didn't have much time. She barely looked at my answers to the written assignment, just glancing for a few seconds during a screen share. Afterward, the recruiter let me know that she felt I hadn't prepared enough for the assignment, even though she didn't have the time to properly review it. It was a really disappointing experience because I expected more, especially given how Aiven presents itself and its hiring process.

First I talked to the recruiter who found me on LinkedIn. We did a general intro of myself and then about Aiven. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager and a second level manager. We discussed my career and future goals.

I was invited for an interview with the hiring manager and asked to provide availability for next steps, but then I never heard back. Poor form and ghosting. The experience went from really great to really poor.
