It was a standard interview process with a few interview rounds and a mock QBR. I spoke with HR for a screening, then the hiring manager, and a peer. The conversations were good, and I learned a lot about what they were looking for, their company values, and the benefits.
It was a 3 round process. First was a HM round which was non-technical. Then there were two technical rounds where I had to automate Myntra and Spotify and also answer some scenario based questions. Even though my interview went really well and the interviewer almost said they were impressed with my profile, they held my application for 20 more days and finally sent a rejection email. There is no visibility on results even after following up with HRs, they don't reply promptly. They usually compare with many candidates and hold your profile. It's a true waste of time. I highly recommend not to waste time if they don't reply with results immediately.
The interview process for the Senior TA role at Airbase (recently acquired by Paylocity) was disappointing. I felt there was bias from the Talent Acquisition Manager. Once she realized I wasn't from her community, the conversation changed. She questioned my stakeholder management and the size of organizations I've worked for, specifically over 3000 employees. When I clarified, she said I'd need significant training and she didn't have the bandwidth as she was going on maternity leave. This makes me question the company's commitment to DEIB.
