The interview with the Principal Investigator is fast. HR processing might take a bit. HR will ask for references once the PI interview goes well. You can negotiate salary.
I found the opening on the company website and sent in my application. Someone from the company reached out to me within two days. I went through two interviews. The first one lasted about an hour and a half and was with the principal investigator and some of their team members. The second interview was with the principal investigator and the co-principal investigator.
I applied online and got a referral. It took a while to set up interviews. Eventually, HR called to let me know I needed to prepare a presentation and that the interview process would be at least 2 hours. Overall, the interview process was good and straightforward, with questions about my reasons for changing jobs.
