Candidate-reported interview process

The recruiter cancelled my offer while the manager was away. The process included a Manager Screen where I had to talk about a project (ideally a long one, 6+ months). Then there was a Virtual Onsite with 4 interviews: Frontend System Design covering project file structure and UI, a Pair Coding session on a code sharing site, a standard Behavioral interview, and a conversational chat about Product and Design Collaboration. I received an offer letter detailing base salary and ISOs (number of shares and strike price), but then the offer was rescinded due to a perceived culture fit issue.

It was a pretty straightforward process. I applied, got an online assessment, and then was invited to the final interviews. Communication with recruiters was practically non-existent, which was frustrating. They booked my final interviews, which were about two hours long, without checking my availability, forcing me to miss a doctor's appointment. My emails before and after the interviews went unanswered. Despite the recruiting issues, the people I interviewed with were nice and seemed smart. It's a shame because it seems like a good company and their product is interesting.

I got an initial call from an internal recruiter, then spoke with the founder for a culture fit. After that, an eng lead did a phone screen with me on coderpad where I had to build an image cache class with LRU eviction. Then I got two assignments on Codility, one easy and one medium (theater seating). The final stage was a virtual onsite: a group intro, then a coding test on Codility while screen sharing, followed by a system design interview, and finally cross-functional chats with design and product folks. Didn't get the offer, no feedback provided, but they let me down gently.
