After applying, the first interview I got was a virtual vidcruiter interview. I had to do it within 3 days of getting the email. I didn't hear anything back after that.
There was an initial 30 minute interview that was pretty basic, covering things like 'tell me about yourself and your interests' and 'why would you like to work here'. Then there was 10 weeks of training. The final interview felt like decisions had already been made and some people were just being interviewed for the sake of it.
I applied online and about a week later got an email for a phone interview. The interviewer asked me to talk about my resume and how my past jobs would fit this role. She also asked for an example of something I disassembled out of curiosity about its workings. After that, she gave me a take-home assignment to research and send her the differences between systems and application programmers within two days. I didn't get the job. I'm not sure if it was my explanation of dissecting my cell phone or my unclear assignment answer. It was an interesting experience, and I could tell the HR person interviewing me didn't really understand the technical aspects of my answers.
