First, I had a phone chat with a recruiter, and then it transitioned to an in-person interview. That in-person part was a bit messy; most of the interviewers were late. It wasn't super clear what the day-to-day job would actually entail. The interview was very technical, and they did ask some good questions about my past work.
Had a few interviews with principals and department staff. We met and discussed opportunities and projects that I would be working on. The process took a while, but the new hiring team appears to be helpful. If you applied in the past, try again, it's worth it.
The interview was pretty chill. They asked me about my resume. It didn't really seem like they were super interested in their work. They also didn't have any specific questions ready for me. It was definitely one of the weirder interviews I've had. I didn't feel like it was the best fit for me there. They let me know back within the week.
