Candidate-reported interview process

I applied online and got a call for a phone interview the very next day. I had mentioned a preference for Southern California roles on my resume, but they interviewed me for a position in Indiana. I went along with it, and the interviewer was very pleasant. When I reiterated my preference not to work in Indiana, that concluded the interview.

It was a very informative interview process. They talked to me one-on-one about my interests, strengths, and weaknesses. They were able to align my job search with my expectations and interests.

First, I had a basic phone interview with the recruiter. Then, depending on the company I might be contracting for, there could be more interviews. The whole process was super quick; I interviewed on a Friday and got an offer the following Tuesday.
