Candidate-reported interview process

So, they initially rejected me via email, which was odd because then they sent me an interview invitation. After the interview, I didn't get any further, but HR did give me some helpful feedback in the end.

The initial conversation left me with more questions than answers about the role. My main worry was their inability to answer pretty basic questions that other interviewers usually answer right away. Also, the tone felt a bit condescending, and the chat seemed rushed. It was an easy enough conversation, but it was definitely one of the less structured ones I've had recently.

First you chat with the recruiter, then you speak with the hiring manager. They'll ask a few questions about your background and how much you've looked into the company. Sometimes, companies start things off with a screening interview to see if you've got the right qualifications for the job. Sometimes they just do an open interview, like a group interview, especially at hiring events where they see a bunch of people at once.
