The interview process had a noticeable lack of communication. The first interviewer was late and ended the call abruptly, which felt rushed. After some delays and issues with updates for the second interview, I learned a recruiter was involved. The recruiter's call was awkward and rude. In the third stage, crucial information for the skills assessment wasn't provided beforehand, leaving me only 10 minutes to prepare after receiving the brief.
The interview process started with a recruiter screening call, followed by a technical interview with a Product Manager and Product Designer. Then, there was a case study review and a whiteboard challenge. While the interactions with the recruiter and interviewers were okay, it was disappointing to receive an automated rejection email after investing significant time in preparation and interviews, especially without personalized feedback. Attempts to get feedback from the recruiter and hiring manager were met with silence, highlighting a need for them to respect candidates' time.
The process began with a review, followed by a meeting with two product designers to discuss your interest in the company and your design identity. The process was stopped after this initial stage, but would have continued with a design skill test and a design interview.
