Applied online, and the recruiter set up the first call pretty quickly. I didn't move forward after the recruiter round, so I'm not sure about the rest of the process. The recruiter was kind of robotic and rude. When I asked about the company culture, she said it's the same everywhere and that I'd know if I'd read the Adyen formula. I thought 'one culture consistency' is a myth; she might be very junior or just ignorant. When I asked about the interview process, she mentioned they have a lot of candidates applying for the role, which felt a bit unnecessary to say.
The interview process at Adyen was a really positive experience. The recruiters were welcoming and professional from the get-go, which helped me feel comfortable. The initial screening was straightforward, and the interviews with the team felt more like natural conversations than intense questioning. They seemed genuinely curious about me and my background. I really appreciated how inclusive the whole process felt. They encouraged me to share my unique viewpoints, and I felt respected and that my input mattered. This made me even more enthusiastic about the possibility of joining such a welcoming and inclusive team.
The interview process was pretty automated with 5 rounds before the offer. It went HR > Hiring Manager > Take home assignment > Team member > CEO > Offer. You just got automated emails to pick a time, not much interaction in between.
