The whole thing took 3 months to wrap up. This was mainly because another manager was dragging their feet, and it turned out they were just lazy and got fired.
I had a panel interview, followed by discussions about my background and behavioral competencies, and then some quick Q&A sessions with different people in the company. I spoke with the office manager for a phone screen, and also a manager from the Kansas City office. They wanted to check if I would fit in the organization and if I was someone they could hire. This part felt pretty straightforward, maybe just to ensure I wasn't an unusual candidate.
You start with an online application. If it gets screened, a recruiter will call you. They'll do a quick phone screen and send the results to a hiring manager. The hiring manager will then call to set up an interview, and there will be one or two of these. After that, you'll hear about the decision. The trickiest part is the I-9 form. Since many jobs are remote, you have to complete and return it to HR before they can hire you. If you haven't done I-9s before, it can be hard because it needs to be notarized.
