So I had a phone screen first, then a virtual interview. After that, it was an onsite interview that was pretty long, like half a day, with a bunch of people. They wanted me to do a 30-minute technical presentation about a project. But then, the person I talked to virtually was not happy with my topic and wanted me to present on something else. They said I'd get travel reimbursed, and then... nothing. Ghosted.
Had a 30-minute Zoom call with the hiring manager, then they flew me out to PA for a full day of in-person interviews. Had to use 2 days of PTO for this. Last minute, they told me I needed to do a presentation on a past technical topic, with only 24 hours notice. The hiring manager really enjoyed introducing me to people and joked about how 'brutal' the process is. My final interview with the hiring manager was at the end of the day when I was tired, and she surprised me with a mock discovery call. Afterward, she gave me a tour and then tested me on what she told me during it.
You have to do a presentation about your career or other relevant history. Then you will interview one on one with each supervisor. It can be a bit intimidating, but everyone is very welcoming. I felt more comfortable than I expected I would.
