Advance Auto Parts Software Engineer interviews, decoded.

It was three rounds. The first round was about basic Javascript knowledge and two quick coding challenges. Second round involved building an app using only AI tools by prompting. Last round was focused on system design and architecture discussions, along with some behavioral questions.

I interviewed at Advance Auto Parts in Hyderabad in December 2024. It was a good and organized interview. First, there was a Group Discussion (GD). If you cleared that, you went to the technical interview. In the technical interview, they first asked me to introduce myself and talk about my resume. Since I know Python, they asked me to solve some basic coding problems. They also asked me about SQL joins and other Python stuff. I was also asked to talk about my project. The interviewers were nice and the questions were simple, mainly about practical knowledge and core concepts.

So first they look at your resume, and if it looks good, you get a technical panel interview. This is with the manager and another dev. They really want to see how you work with others and what you know technically.
