Adjust Software Engineer interviews, decoded.

I interviewed at Adjust. The recruiter was friendly. They gave me a take-home task, which they estimated would take 3-5 hours. However, it involved creating two standalone applications and integrating them using Spark and Postgres. The task itself was straightforward, but there were a couple of challenging aspects. It required significant effort to get a working standalone application with test coverage. After submitting, I didn't hear back for a week, and then they emailed to say they weren't moving forward, without providing any explanation. It was a disappointing experience due to the lack of feedback and the time-consuming take-home assignment.

The interview process was smooth overall. It started with an HR chat via video call, followed by a take-home assignment. Then, the team reviewed the assignment with Lead Developers. Finally, there was an interview with the team. They were always quick to respond, and the people at Adjust were super friendly, making it an enjoyable interview experience.

The interview screening was easy and conducted on a call. The interviewer was very nice and polite, and the experience went very well. I was very satisfied with it in the end; it was a very good interview process and selection.
