Adevinta Machine Learning Engineer interviews, decoded.

There were several interviews, spread over a few days. Notably, there was a take-home exercise, some theoretical questions, practical exercises (using a virtual whiteboard), and a cultural fit interview.

I went through 4 interviews: 1 with HR, 2 technical, and 1 for culture fit. It's been months with no feedback, positive or negative. HR initially said I had a high chance, but then mentioned the position was frozen. Some people inside told me they hired someone else. This company's process wasn't ethical, so think twice before proceeding with them.

Started with a fit interview with the recruiter, lasted 30-45 mins. Then there was a practical case to do at home, with a week to complete. After that, an interview to review the practical case, lasting 1 hour. Next was a technical interview focused on Machine Learning for 1 hour. Following that, a fit interview with the engineering manager, also 1 hour. Finally, a technical interview covering System and architecture for 1 hour.
