Adesso SE Consultant interviews, decoded.

The application process was unfortunately anything but professional. After a very good initial meeting via video call, I was promptly invited to an in-person meeting at one of their offices. The interview started late, and the main interviewer was unexpectedly not present but joined remotely. In hindsight, they could have just done the whole thing as a video call. They promised feedback by the end of the week and reimbursement of travel expenses. After waiting a week and a half and following up twice about the travel expense reimbursement, I withdrew my application. This was an application via a private recruiter.

It was a three-stage process. First, a very casual get-to-know-you chat (1 hour). Then, a technical interview (1 hour) with a second person, covering customer interaction and technical expertise. Finally, a contract discussion (1 hour). The first two stages were online, and the last one was in person at the local office. The boss even traveled to my city for it.

The interview atmosphere wasn't great. It felt like the interviewers hadn't read my resume or prepared. This led to awkward moments and misunderstandings during the chat. I wished for more professional preparation and more appreciation for my time.
