It was a pretty simple process. They wanted to hear about my experience and how it relates to the role. We discussed times I faced difficulties and how I overcame them. I found it helpful to connect my experiences to their specific challenges, and I made sure to ask them questions too.
The interview process at Adams Outdoor Advertising involved an initial screening call with a recruiter, then a 30-minute virtual team interview with the hiring manager. Even though I prepared well and answered everything confidently, the conversation felt disengaged. The process concluded with a rejection, and even the recruiter thought the reason was unusually unreasonable.
I got a phone call right away and it went really well. Turns out, the interviewer and I knew some of the same people. He even knew my old boss personally and knew why I left my last job. Plus, he knows my husband from work.
