We started with an initial phone screen that covered some background info and questions. After that, there was a data challenge that needed to be solved within 2 hours using whatever methods felt right. The next step was the main technical round, focusing on Data Analytics/Science and programming. The final round was supposed to be a phone call with the HOD, but I didn't get that far.
Scheduling the initial phone screen was a bit of a challenge. The technical round didn't go as well as I'd hoped, partly because I wasn't entirely clear the role was for a data architect/analytics engineer. The questions themselves weren't overly difficult, though.
It was a 3 stage process: HR screening, a technical interview, and then a hiring manager interview. The technical interview was the toughest part, with several SQL and Python questions, and I had to explain my thought process as I went. It felt like they valued analytical thinking over pure coding skills.
