Acumen Solutions Software Engineer interviews, decoded.

The interview process was pretty standard and most questions felt fair. Everyone I spoke with was pretty nice and approachable. I had to talk to several people throughout the day.

I only made it to the initial screening phase. The interviewer asked me about my past projects, work history, and other behavioral type questions. If I had moved forward, I would have been given a programming assignment and a technical interview. The very last step would have been a face-to-face interview, and they would have covered my travel expenses. The person interviewing me was nice and got back to me quickly. The company seemed like a really good place to work, like they genuinely care about their employees and contribute to the community.

Got contacted through an employee referral. Had a chat with the HR rep and scheduled an interview. They sent over a coding problem that I had to solve within 48 hours, followed by a technical phone screen. The coding challenge itself wasn't too tough. I could use either Java or C++ for it.
