The interview process had three rounds. HR Screening, Manager Interview and Business Analyst Interview. There would have been one more round with CTO if candidates make it past these three rounds. The interview seemed fine until round three where the interviewer did not seem interested at all.
Got a message from a recruiter about a potential opportunity. We chatted, and it sounded interesting, I learned about the team structure and who the role reports to. However, the hiring manager decided not to move forward with my application.
The interview process felt overly formal, and the interviewer seemed inexperienced and unfamiliar with US labor laws and working culture, especially for tech companies. The salary offered was below average for a senior role. It didn't seem like there was good work-life balance, with the potential for many calls with international employees early in the morning or late at night. They were also antagonistic towards owning a side business.
