The interview process was pretty well organized and professional. Recruiters kept me in the loop about timelines and what to expect. Each part of the process felt like it had a clear purpose. The interviewers knew their stuff and were focused on seeing if I had the technical skills and how I approached problems, plus how I'd handle real-world situations.
Applied online via LinkedIn. A recruiter reached out, and I had a recruiter screening a week later. I got rejected the next day. The recruiter was not knowledgeable about ML and asked textbook questions without context via chat. They also asked open-ended ML model questions, but couldn't provide more details because they didn't understand them. They asked about topics not on my resume, showing they hadn't reviewed it. I'm not sure why I was even shortlisted.
A recruiter reached out and tried to schedule a call via a calendar link, but that didn't work out. We eventually connected, and the recruiter asked questions through Zoom chat, and I typed my responses back. Then, I was told the hiring manager decided not to move forward.
