The hiring journey was pretty standard. It started with HR reaching out for an initial phone screen call where they reviewed my background and my reasons for applying. Following that, I had two more phone interviews with existing product managers at the company, which also followed a standard interview format.
I sent my resume and got a response the next day to do an online assessment. After I finished it, I never heard back. The assessment wasn't too tough. It had two parts: a self-rating from 1 to 5, and an IQ test with lots of math problems. They weren't hard, but I needed a calculator, and the instructions said not to use one, and there wasn't enough time without it.
It was a pretty thorough interview process. First, I had a phone call with HR. If that went well, I had another phone interview with the hiring manager. Then, I went to their office for an in-person meeting with the hiring manager and the team. After that, they sent me an assignment to see how I'd approach things and if I understood the job. They ultimately picked the person who seemed like the best fit.
