after submitting my online application, I had a phone screening. Based on my experience and that call, they put me in touch with 3 departments that might be a good fit. I then had 30-minute Zoom interviews with one or two people from each department. They were pretty casual and mostly asked about my connection to their mission, with a few situational questions mixed in.
First there was a phone call with a recruiter and after that an interview with the manager for the team they assigned you an interview for. It was very relaxed and everyone is so nice. There was not a technical interview.
It was pretty standard, but with some extra technical questions about political strategy and how you'd be useful. There were also typical behavioral questions about strengths/weaknesses and why you're a good fit.
