It started with a quick HR call, then a video chat with my potential manager, and finally a long meeting with five people where we discussed my portfolio.
It was pretty simple. First, a phone interview. Then, an in-person meeting with the team lead and HR. After that, another in-person with the team members. They wanted to check if I'm what they call an A-Player.
The hiring process started with an enthusiastic recruiter call where they seemed really keen to meet me. Then, I was invited for a 'Meet and Greet' with the whole design team and the Creative Director to showcase my portfolio, which is pretty standard for design roles. The next week, I had the final 'Top Grade' interview, which they explained was more about seeing if I'd fit the company culture, beyond just my design skills. They really dug into my past jobs and my time in college and high school, going over my resume and experience more deeply. It felt really positive, and I left feeling hopeful about getting an offer.
