I sent in my resume and got a call from Anthony Colson, who has some kind of position at Achievement Prep. We chatted for about 30 minutes. He said he'd get back to me, but then I heard nothing. He did most of the talking, starting with himself for 5 minutes, then jumped into questions without asking me to introduce myself. He criticized me for using a tool the school promotes, and seemed to expect me to know things about the school, but their website isn't up-to-date.
There was one round of interviews. I had to fill out an interview packet with essay questions about my education beliefs. Then I did a model lesson and got feedback. After that, I toured the school and answered typical interview questions from a panel of 3 staff members.
This interview process was long and felt pointless, really rooted in a white dormant culture. It focused on buzz words instead of educator philosophy or mindset and involved several parties for unclear reasons. This is the end of my review.
