Candidate-reported interview process

I had 4 interviews with multiple people, including the VP, directors, and the team. The team seemed nice, but I danced around questions regarding direct managers. The managers explained the opportunity to make lots of money but didn't portray that.

After a recruiter interview, I was asked to do some unpaid work, which I believe is illegal. This was followed by an impromptu meeting with the VP that day.

I had two rounds of interviews and met with almost all of the team members. The first day focused more on my background and skillsets. The second interview focused more on the position and expectations. They had me ask candid and informal questions about the day to day.
