Academy Sports + Outdoors Executive Assistant interviews, decoded.

The interview process kicked off in December. We had phone and in-person interviews that went on until February, and I started the job in March. It was a bit frustrating not knowing where I stood sometimes. A little feedback would have been great.

I was responsible for payroll, addressing time clock issues, and HR tasks. I also managed employee files and assisted CTLS. During the interview, they asked questions about my multitasking abilities and flexibility to help in other departments.

I sent in my application online. A manager called me on a Saturday morning and we had a phone screen. Then, I had an in-person meeting with the store director.
