A+E Networks Manager interviews, decoded.

I applied online. The HR email said they would respond no matter what, which I found hard to believe. After a phone interview and 5 in-person interviews, I never heard back from HR about an offer, even after following up. The interviews themselves were not difficult, mostly behavioral questions like 'tell me about yourself' and 'why do you want to work here/leave your job'. It's disappointing because they promoted responding no matter what, but that wasn't true. I hate being ghosted after so many interviews and visiting the office twice.

It was an in-person interview with 3 people and lasted almost 2 hours. The recruiter was very responsive in updating me on the process, but ultimately I was not selected because they were looking for someone with more experience, which was surprising given they saw my resume beforehand. The hiring manager asked me about various accounting and finance terms.

Applied online via LinkedIn, HR responded 3 weeks later to set up a phone interview. HR call went well, and they set up a follow-up phone screen with the CTO, who was the hiring manager. The CTO invited me for an in-person interview in NYC. The interview with the CTO went well, but he mentioned he'd be traveling to India for 3 weeks and needed to do as many interviews as possible before then. He said the next steps would be a panel interview upon his return. Five weeks after my interviews, I got an email saying they were moving on with other candidates, despite the 'pleasure' of meeting me. It was a horrible experience, and A&E did not reimburse my $145 commute expenses.
