99 General Intern interviews, decoded.

I applied online and a few days later I was called for an interview at 99. There was a lot of delay regarding the scheduled time, which ends up generating more anxiety for the candidate. One of the managers was extremely friendly and understanding. The HR employee, however, seemed uninterested and impatient; her attitude bothered me during the interview. Some questions were very subjective and I was interrupted a few times, but overall, it was a fair process.

The first stage, a group dynamic, was fine, but the second stage, an interview, was terrible and completely unstructured. The manager barely knew my resume and asked random questions, which completely threw me off, making me unable to answer basic questions I obviously knew. Also, it was super unethical when I said where I lived - he responded: 'the time it took me to go surfing at the beach in college'.
