8x8 Project Manager interviews, decoded.

It was pretty easy, nothing too difficult. The job itself was kind of up in the air and more of an idea than a solid thing. The people I talked to were nice enough but couldn't tell me much about what the job actually entailed.

The interview process was good, with friendly staff and really interesting questions. It was of average difficulty and definitely worth my time because the company seems like a great place to work, offering good pay, nice benefits, and engaging tasks.

Got referred by someone working there and saw a lot of LinkedIn views. Recruiter responded in a day and set up an interview for two days later. The recruiter asked me questions about my background and then immediately asked about salary, which was unexpected. She kept saying she was all about transparency. Near the end, after discussing salary, she mentioned other candidates were further along and it would be an uphill battle. She said I'd hear back the next morning, but I didn't get a response until the following week with a rejection. Not very transparent, I guess!
