Candidate-reported interview process

The interview process included a 1-hour PhD talk followed by 6 back-to-back interviews. They asked in-depth technical questions and emphasized teamwork and honesty. They were courteous and offered water and food in between. Most interviewees were very friendly.

So, I had an on-site interview at a conference, it was about 45 minutes long. They started by telling me what the job would entail. Then the hiring manager looked at my resume and asked me some follow-up questions about my experience. After that, they asked some standard interview questions like who my role model is and why, and for examples of good and bad collaborations I've experienced. I didn't end up hearing back, but I wasn't really that interested anyway.

This was an on-campus interview where we mostly discussed my past projects. The interviewer wasn't from the AI group but was recruiting for those groups. They asked me to explain neural networks to someone non-technical but with a tech background.
