Candidate-reported interview process

I was offered a single in person interview, no phone screening. I flew to Minneapolis (on my own dime) for this interview, which was supposed to last at least an hour, the interviewer was late, cut the interview short. I was later told I did well, and would be given a follow-up phone interview with would be co-workers. Soon before this follow-up phone interview, I was told they found another candidate at a conference.

Initial contact was made through a headhunting company for a Skype interview, followed by an in-person company meeting with HR, the team leader, and the department coordinator. During this meeting, they introduced the company, described the role, and discussed required competencies. The second interview was with the area manager and HR manager, after which feedback was provided by the headhunting company.

So, a recruiter from this chemistry contracting place talked to me. Then, about a week later, I had this interview with a manager from 3M. This manager was typing on their computer the whole time and barely looked at me. It felt like they weren't even considering me for the job; I honestly think it would have been better if they just told me to leave right away.
