Candidate-reported interview process

I had two rounds of interviews. The first was a chat with HR, who was nice. The second interview was a bit technical, with someone from the front-end team.

A head hunter reached out after college and set up a phone screen with the head of front end. We looked at my github and they asked some basic JS questions, then we scheduled an onsite. The onsite was about 4 hours, I met 5 people: 3 engineers, the head of front end, and the CTO. The first 3 interviews were technical, focusing on Backbone.js, jQuery, and JavaScript. The 4th was a cultural fit chat with some light code optimization discussion. The last interview with the CTO was to learn about the company and included brain teasers.

The interview process at 1stdibs.com took about 2 weeks. It started with an easy phone chat with HR. Then came a slightly technical round where basic front-end knowledge, especially JS, was tested with questions like reversing a string. The final stage was an on-site interview in their NYC office. I met with three senior developers. One was really nice, but another was kind of rude and kept interrupting. The questions there involved iterating through objects, inheritance, and JS variable hoisting. There was also a debate about array properties.
