The first interview was with a third-party software where you record yourself. The interviewer said she would turn her camera off because she wouldn't be looking at me anyway and would be taking notes on her other monitor. Then I would just be staring at her profile. She turned her camera off as she started to ask the very first question. I felt like they wanted a robot, not a human. What's the point of that third-party software if you're still not going to treat me as a human.
A 45-minute HR screen happened, where we chatted about the job, the company, and my background. I didn't get any feedback on why I didn't move forward, which is pretty standard, though giving feedback would be a good way to improve the hiring process.
First, a recruiter screen with some behavioral questions. Then, a hiring manager screen. After that, the virtual onsite happened, which included 4 rounds of interviews with directors & engineers. The recruiter was very clear about what each interview would focus on to help me prepare as best as possible.
