It was a quick process, no tasks or presentations which was a bit unexpected for this type of role, but I guess that's good. They did give a lot of resources to help with preparation. The main issue came at the end. I got an email saying I passed all the stages, but it wasn't an offer. Instead, it was 'feedback' saying they needed more time than initially stated to make a final decision. A few days later, they got back to me saying I wasn't successful. It was a really unsettling experience to hear them express so much positivity and enthusiasm about my profile, only to be rejected without any clear reasons why, which ultimately made the whole process feel quite negative.
It took 2 months to even get an interview, and then another 3 weeks to schedule the first call. After that initial interview, I waited 3 more weeks to hear back. The second interview went okay, I could talk about my experience, but ultimately they didn't move forward with me for a third interview because they felt I didn't have enough direct experience. My advice to HR is to be more efficient and not waste time interviewing people who don't have the direct experience they're looking for.
First, there was a phone call to go over my CV and ask a couple of questions. After that, I had a virtual meeting where we discussed my experiences in more detail. They asked about the size of the customer portfolio I managed and the types of KPIs used to measure success.
