Technical Writer
The initial phone screen with the external recruiter seemed to go well. We chatted about my past use of AI as a tool for tech writing. I made sure to mention that AI can have knowledge but lacks wisdom, making the tech writer's expertise essential. I still had some questions about their specific AI plans, so I emailed the recruiter (no response) and the hiring manager (who surprisingly replied!). The hiring manager was great and answered all my questions and concerns. We also talked about work styles, and I felt we were a good match. She asked if I felt confident after our discussion. I said yes and expressed my eagerness to move forward. I then spent a week researching more AI tools. After a period of silence, the external recruiter informed me I was disqualified.
- Tell me about your previous experience incorporating AI into your work.
- Could you elaborate on how you've utilized AI to aid your technical writing tasks?
- What's your perspective on the difference between AI's knowledge and its wisdom, especially concerning technical writing?
Data Analyst
Had two interviews and a technical Excel test. The interviews were mostly behavioral and not too hard. I expected more technical questions. The first interview was just 'Tell me about yourself', and the second one had two associates asking only behavior-based questions.
- Tell me about yourself
- Can you share your greatest accomplishment?
Product Designer
The interview process included 3 rounds. The final round was a portfolio review with the whole team. It was a great process and the interviewers were very welcoming and asked thoughtful questions. The first two interviews focused on my working/collaboration style and experience.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Zylo?
Marketing
I was reached out to by a recruiter via email to set up a 30-minute phone call with the hiring manager. Then, a 30-minute phone call with the CMO. Lastly, a final discussion with the Director of Comms. The whole process was incredible, the team was communicative, transparent, and energetic. I felt like the team was genuinely interested in learning more about me, my experience, how I'd be a good fit, and what my goals were. The recruiting team was just as incredible. :)
- Can you tell me about the most creative outbound marketing effort you've been a part of?
