MBA Summer Intern
This role had a few more stages than usual. It included two behavioral interviews, a case study where I had to create a model and a deck about an investment I thought was interesting, and finally an in-person superday.
- What draws you to Corporate Venture Capital?
- Could you share some current trends in this field that you believe are important for us to monitor?
Intern
I did the process in the pandemic year, so it was 100% online. First, we went through a group activity where they presented a case for developing a new beverage, covering the 5Ps (price, place, product, public, and promotion). The twist was that with 5-10 minutes left, they introduced an unfavorable scenario to what we were planning, and we had to remodel the product. The hardest part was the final online panel with about 4 managers and 5 people per room. It's hard not to run over the candidates' time and make yourself noticed, which was the cause of my initial rejection. Shortly after, due to some internal arrangement, the managers became interested in my profile and moved me from the unit I applied to, to another that suited my profile. Then I received the offer.
- Which of the company's values do you most like/fit/consider important?
Intern
From the beginning of the group activity, it was already possible to notice an air of superiority from the interns who introduced themselves, then it only got worse. At the end of the activity, the evaluators were super rude, with no tact at all. There was no one from HR during the activities. Horrible experience.
- Create a business case for a new bar.
