Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zup Innovation.
iOS Developer
It was just one interview with HR and another technical one where they asked basic iOS and design questions. A technical challenge to develop an app was requested but I was approved before I had to deliver it.
- What is the best way to create a screen flow for user registration?
iOS Developer
This was the worst interview experience I've ever had. I can't even imagine what it must be like to work there. They brought in a completely arrogant, technically weak interviewer who was unprepared to deal with people. He tried to humiliate and destabilize me several times. In the middle of the interview, he started asking totally nonsensical questions, justifying it by saying this part of the process is just to test the candidate because project managers ask nonsensical questions in their day-to-day work (!!!). At other times, he started talking about topics completely unrelated to the job, just to boost his ego and show off. I didn't accept the offer and I don't recommend anyone work in such a toxic environment; it's better to preserve your mental health.
- Could you describe the projects you've been involved in?
IOS Developer
The interview included a cultural fit stage, a company presentation, and a technical interview. It was pretty relaxed; the people were very professional in their approach via LinkedIn and in conducting the interview. The technical interview consisted solely of questions.
- Tell me about a difficult situation you faced in the development environment and how you resolved it.
