Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zuora.
Marketing
Applied online and a recruiter reached out via email. The process involved 4 rounds: first, a phone call with the recruiter. Second, a phone interview with the hiring manager. Third, an in-person meeting with five future teammates. Fourth, a video call with a senior leader. I received the final offer about 4 days after the last interview, via a call from the manager.
- Could you explain what Zuora is in simple terms for someone unfamiliar with it?
Marketing
This was possibly the worst interview process ever, very unprofessional. It started normally with an initial call with the hiring manager, and I sent writing samples. Then I was invited for an onsite interview with the hiring manager, VP, and others, which seemed to go well. After two weeks without hearing back, I followed up multiple times with the recruiter and hiring manager but got no response. A week later, I was asked to go onsite again. That interview also went well, but another two weeks passed with no update. Finally, the recruiter asked for references and said an offer would come by week's end. However, three weeks later, still no word and no final decision.

Marketing
I had an initial call with the recruiter, then two video interviews with a director and a VP. They were nice and asked good questions. But after the final interview with the hiring manager, I never heard back. It felt pretty unprofessional to be ghosted after getting pretty far. Shows something about their culture.
