Customer Success Manager
It was a pretty standard interview process for a CSM role. They wanted to see my problem solving skills and learn about the books of business I've managed. The ending of the process was pretty unprofessional though. After three rounds of calls, they didn't even bother to send an automated email saying I didn't get the job, let alone provide any feedback. During the third call, the hiring manager was more than 15 minutes late, and I had to reschedule my day to accommodate them. I'm sure it's a good company, but my interview experience wasn't great.
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement with a leadership decision and explain how you managed that situation?
Customer Success Manager
It was for the US region and I went through 2 rounds. First, they shared wrong information, so I prepared slides for a presentation, but the panelists asked me to create another one with the correct information they provided. The second round was also a presentation round where I had to create a pitch for zscaler. They asked questions about zscaler that didn't make sense because we weren't working with that organization yet, but they were asking about it. I feel like they don't provide internal ramp-up training and expect us to know everything before joining the organization. Feedback was to focus on presentation skills generally, not just the zscaler pitch, and to value others' time.

Customer Success Manager
This company is really on the forefront of cloud security and the people there are super smart about the product, the market, and what matters to clients. The interviews were tough, but totally fair and honestly some of the best I've experienced. The HR manager was great and kept me in the loop about what was next and the timeline. There were 4 stages in total. First, a 1:1 chat with HR. Second, a 1:1 with the hiring manager. Third, an in-person panel interview at their HQ with people from different departments. And fourth, a 1:1 with a VP. You really need to do your homework for this role. Be ready to show you get the Zscaler value prop and how it tackles issues with remote users and cloud migration. The panel is your chance to show off your presentation skills, how well you grasp the value prop and products, and how you handle tough questions or situations. That panel chat can last for hours and is super helpful for both sides to see if it's a good cultural fit.
