Technical Account Manager
I first spoke with 2 managers and it went well. They then wanted me to do a "Technical" interview with a manager in another location. I'm currently in a similar role at a competitor and have prior experience at another competitor, so I'm familiar with the industry. During the "Technical" interview via Zoom, the manager seemed uninterested from the beginning. He apologized for not preparing and not having my resume, then was distracted during my answers, doing other things and not fully paying attention. The interview, scheduled for an hour, was cut short halfway through as he had to leave for a work issue. He asked me to return 3 hours later, which I did, and waited over 30 minutes before being ghosted. I informed the internal organizer via email about the shortened and unfinished interview, but received no response. A few days later, the recruiter called to say they weren't moving forward because I failed the technical interview (which I never really got to do, as no real technical questions were asked). I was upset about being ghosted and not getting a fair interview. The recruiter was nice and listened, offering to try and rectify the situation, but I haven't heard back yet (will update if they do). If that manager's behavior is indicative of the work environment, I'll decline the offer, even with higher pay, as I don't want to be treated that way, which likely reflects on his team.

Technical Account Manager
The interview process at Zscaler was fast and crisp. I was kept informed about the next steps throughout. They provided opportunities to showcase my skills. The recruiter was excellent. Although I did not receive an offer, the experience was valuable and rewarding.
- It was a panel interview with five people. They give you a template to review in depth.
- Be sure to detail the personality traits that will contribute to your success.
- Do your homework: research, crosscheck, and gather info from multiple sources.
Technical Account Manager
Worst interview experience ever. They rejected me without even assessing my knowledge. The company has no professionalism. The interviewer didn't even know what my resume was about, and blamed HR for it. It was a terrible experience.
- Can you explain TCP/IP?
- What is OSI?
- What do you know about DHCP?
