First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zovio.
Enrollment Specialist
Had two interviews for the role. The last one was with the admissions manager and another administrator. It was a really good experience, they were respectful of my time and what I brought to the table. They seemed super knowledgeable about the company and what the job entails. We did it over zoom and it was very informative.

- What is your perspective on this role?
- In what ways is your background relevant to this position?
Student Response Specialist
The interview process was very smooth and transparent, I was very comfortable speaking with the hiring manager who made me feel comfortable and calm. The process took 20 minutes, and during that time I was able to learn about the company, the job position, what life is like at zovio, and how I can tailor my experiences to this position the best to my ability.
- Can you provide an instance where you received 1 on 1 coaching and how you applied it?
- In your own words, how do you define being coachable?
- Describe a situation where you had to adapt to changing policies and how you managed it.
Financial Services Representative
I was emailed for a phone screen and asked if I could do a formal interview the next day. They allowed a video interview since I wasn't local. On the day of the scheduled phone screen, my future boss greeted me and started the formal interview, asking if I had a camera. The interview went well, and she mentioned a decision would be made the next day with an email update by EOB. I didn't receive an email, so I called the next day and left a message. I still haven't heard back or received an email. While I suspect I didn't get the job, an update would have been appreciated as promised, and I'm still looking for feedback.
- Can you tell me about yourself and why you believe you're a good fit for Zovio and this role?
Technology Operations Manager
I sent in my application online and a recruiter reached out to me to set up a phone interview for the very next day. The interview was pretty by-the-book and they couldn't be flexible with the timing. They wanted to do the phone screen right away, and then an in-person interview the week after. I told them I was traveling but could do a Skype call instead. However, they weren't able to make that work. It's pretty strange that an online education company couldn't do a Skype interview for a tech role. I think I might have avoided a bad situation based on what others have said.
- Can you describe your experience collaborating with others?
- Which specific technology products have you worked with?
