Technical Program Manager Intern
We did a quick screener call to see if it was a good fit and if I was interested. Then, I was given an assignment to work on for a few days. After that, I had to present it to a panel of full-time members.
- How does your experience align with this role?
Technical Program Manager
I applied online. A recruiter reached out immediately after I submitted my application and asked for my availability. We scheduled a call, but the recruiter didn't show up. I sent an email to let them know I accepted it as an urgent matter can come up sometime. The recruiter didn't respond for a week and then suggested scheduling for another day (without apologizing for their behavior). The second time, they again didn't show up or reply. This was very humiliating for me as a candidate and it shows how people are recruited in the company and what culture they're carrying.

Technical Program Manager
I first got a call from the HR recruiter, then had a 30 minute phone screen with the manager and director. After that, it was a half-day of interviews with staff, mostly other TPMs. The half day included a presentation from me and a math/puzzle round. I asked the recruiter if the role had any ownership responsibility, and he said TPMs have the ear of senior leadership. I gave a negative experience rating because the role felt like an inflated title, like a bait and switch, maybe why the TPM salary here is lower.
