First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zoox.
Systems Engineer
The process was slow and unresponsive, with ghosting after all the effort. It took a lot of time, and they didn't even have the courtesy to get back. Very unprofessional, even though they have great work opportunities and are technically skilled in the latest AV tech.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your career background?
RF Systems Engineer
it was a long process with 6 sessions, starting with basic to advanced questions. the sessions were RF, signal processing, MATH, coding, ML, and critical thinking. the coding part was very difficult and they didn't give any heads up about the technical details they gonna test on.
- Coding: spiral fourier seris generation mechanism
Embedded Systems Engineer
I went through an offline evaluation on remoteinterview.io, followed by a phone interview via coderpad and zoom. Unfortunately, I didn't advance past that stage. My nerves got the best of me during the coderpad part, even though the tasks themselves weren't that hard if I had just relaxed.
- How would you approach text parsing as a communication protocol in a noisy environment?
- What are the basics of RTOS?
- Can you explain memory alignment?
