Coding System Design
This was a really all over the place interview process. I always had to chase the recruiter for updates, felt like they weren't doing anything. The coding interview was weird, the interviewer had a custom problem related to a company-specific domain they were working on, with a long description and vague diagram, and the code was super long (200-300 lines) for a 45 min interview. The system design interview also had super long problem descriptions. The hiring manager seemed okay but maybe a fast climber. Feedback was all over the place, they said I had the experience but also lacked skills. If this is how they run things, I can see why the stock is doing poorly.

The interview started with a brief phone call. After that, I received two emails. The first email had a few old-school questions, like asking me to describe how I dealt with a particular situation. The second email provided a link to the Bryk system, which included pre-scripted questions, some strange IQ-like tests, and a lot of repetitive behavioral questions. It felt quite insulting and off-putting. Following that, there were a few technical interview rounds that were fairly straightforward, involving LeetCode-style problems and basic knowledge of frameworks.
