It was a two part interview, the first was with HR and the second was with a research department manager. It was a very welcoming and comfortable environment. They asked questions about the company and position and they did an excellent job further explaining the company and what my job role would be. I felt that they asked appropriate questions in regards to my past job experience and allowed me to ask any questions I had. I enjoyed being able to talk to multiple people, it gave me a well-rounded view of what to expect from the job.

After an initial email, I had a phone interview where they went over my resume. They asked how I found the job and if I knew anything about the company. Then, there was an in-person interview that involved a presentation. The presentation was about an organization's structure and their methods for collecting contact information (name, email, phone number) for executives and employees. When I asked for more details on the collection process, I was told it was proprietary, but they hinted I'd need to be creative. They also inquired about my experience with making up to 300 outbound calls, then clarified that longer calls were actually better. They mentioned that anyone can dial a number and that inbound experience should qualify. I sent a follow-up email and left a voicemail with no response, and eventually received a rejection email.

I think I first talked to Desiree for my phone interview. She was really nice and told me what a typical day in research would be like at DiscoverOrg. That same day, I got a call back to set up an in-person interview. The in-person part involved two interviews: first with Desiree and Morgan, then with Brett and Hailey, plus a quick tour of the office. The talk with Desiree and Morgan was about explaining what DiscoverOrg does, more about the job, and my past work experience. The interview with Brett and Haley was pretty much the same. They said I'd hear back by the end of the week, and I got a call the next day to say I got the job. My whole interview experience was great. I felt welcome and comfortable at the company.
