Senior UI Developer
Applied thru LinkedIn. Recruiter booked a call to talk about the position and my resume. Recruiter called 10+ minutes late, could not explain what the company is doing fluently and even could not answer the dev team size. Followed with another round of interview with one of their senior engineer. Showed up late as well and even asked me to give him time to find my resume and read it. The interviewer had no front-end experience and told me he had no React questions to ask me. Then he took several minutes trying to find a JS question for me to answer but it was almost the last minute of the 30 minutes interview.
- Can you explain how to use setTimeout in JavaScript?
Front End Developer
First, there was a phone screen to check if I can communicate. Then, a short technical phone interview. After that, they scheduled a face-to-face interview that was supposed to be 1.5 hours but went over 2 hours. It was with 4 team members. They asked me a lot of questions about my resume, the tech I've used, and my experience with performance and QA. I also answered technical questions, some general and some specific, and a behavioral question about workplace conflict. I also solved some whiteboard coding problems for front-end development. The vibe was relaxed but challenging, and the team was great.
- They asked a lot about JavaScript and its different programming styles.
Front End Developer
I applied on their website, had two phone interviews and one in-person interview. They asked me to complete an AngularJS application with a focus on component-driven architecture. One more sentence and now this will be 30 words.
- What is the difference between .call(), .apply(), and .bind() in JavaScript?
