I had an interview scheduled with Olivia, an AI chatbot used for scheduling. When the actual virtual interview started, no one showed up. I tried to reach out, but the chatbot wouldn't let me talk to a human, no matter what I tried, just repeating itself. It was a really bad, annoying experience and a waste of my time. I also noticed the AI asks for feedback early on, and you can't change it after the hiring process is messed up. This whole situation was frustrating.

Had a technical phone screen with easy and medium LeetCode problems. This was followed by a 1-hour technical interview that was mostly trivia and behavioral questions. Honestly, I don't see how they can evaluate candidates properly with just that. What was really frustrating is that the recruiter went silent after the initial contact, and then I got an automated rejection. BUT, the recruiter contacted me again two weeks later to see if I was still looking and scheduled the exact same interview with the same people. I questioned if it was an error, and predictably, got ghosted again without any explanation. Definitely not worth your time.

The process kicked off with a recruiter call where the recruiter was transparent. Then, there was a technical phone interview via Zoom that involved a problem-solving assignment. The next stage was an online virtual interview, which was streamlined and consisted of three rounds. One interviewer was from the UI team, another from the backend team, and the final interview was with the hiring manager. It was a pleasant experience overall. I was interested in joining the R&D team, but withdrew my application due to the compensation offered, which I consider my loss given Zoom's growth potential.
