Product Designer
It was hard to communicate and I had to chase them for updates because they weren't getting back to me. The interviewers seemed stressed and rude from the start, and didn't seem genuinely interested in me. It was actually one of the most insulting interviews I've ever had, which is surprising for a company this big. It probably depends on the department, but the design team there seems to have a culture that's unprofessional and cutthroat. I wouldn't advise anyone to apply unless they were really desperate.

I applied online and a recruiter got back to me a few days later for a video call recruiter screen, which was pretty chill. The next week, I scheduled a 45-minute video call with the hiring manager. It was a bit formal, mostly Q&A, and the HM was upfront about potential mismatches. I got an automated rejection email the next day, along with one from the recruiter. The plan was for a 1:1 critique with another designer, then a 1:1 with a PM, and finally a design presentation.
- What are you seeking in your next role?
- Is remote work an option for you?
- What are your preferences for team and company culture?
Product Designer
It started with a recruiter phone call, then a 30-min chat with the hiring manager about the role and some behavior questions. After that, I had another 30-min design critique with a different team's hiring manager. The final stage was a 30-min presentation where I showed 2 case studies to 5 interviewers. The whole thing took about 3 months to get the offer.
- Can you share an example of when you had to manage a disagreement with colleagues from other departments?
- Could you outline your approach to design?
